RE: RESULTS OF THE CICS BCP RUN EXERCISE CONDUCTED ON SEPTEMBER 12, 2020


1. We wish to inform that the CICS BCP Dry Run Exercise last Saturday, September 12, 2020, pushed through with a participation rate of 57% which was below the expected participation.


2. There were only 49 out of 86 clearing participant banks that were able to send outward transactions to the DR Site and we would like to express our warm appreciation for their active participation, to wit:

3. There were 37 banks that were unable to successfully participate because most of them encountered production issues/conflict with their respective internal activities while some attempted to participate but were unsuccessful due to configuration and/or connectivity issues.


4. Of the 37, fifteen (15) banks have never participated in any of the BCP Dry Run activities conducted. PCHC will AGAIN call the attention of these banks to impress the importance of participation in the BCP exercise as all banks must be ready to shift to the DR site should an actual contingency occurs.


5. Below is the summary of issues that were reported and the corresponding action taken to resolve them:

6. Again, we thank the 49 banks for their active participation as we strongly encourage those that were not able to participate to address their respective issues/concerns encountered during the dry run so that everyone will be able to connect to the DR Site in the next BCP exercise.
